Word of the Year 2020

Recently I stumbled upon a post on Facebook asking what was your word of the year going to be. I've never even heard of picking a word of the year what it means and what I would have to do so, I did what most people would do I went to Google. After a few quick articles the idea to pick a word to model what I want out of this year really struck a cord with me. Out of the blue the word that came to my mind and has stuck with me for the last few days has been THRIVE.

THRIVE for me this year has several meanings.

1. I want to Thrive in my business and not just survive in the industry. I want to become better and push myself harder than I have in the past.

2. I want to Thrive at home with my family. I want to make sure that my kids are getting all they need to continue to grow in to smart and strong little humans. I want my relationship with my husband to continue to Thrive and grow.

3. I want to Thrive as a person in my own personal growth.

What I also found interesting was that when you pick your word or words you have to be ready to embrace the good, the bad and the ugly that may come along with it. While the word THRIVE is very positive I have to be ready to deal with the not so positive side of that word which could be fail. Maybe I will fail at a new design or an idea I have in my head swirling around. But, either way this year I am going to THRIVE. I am going to work hard for myself and my family and I am ready for whatever is to come next.

I hope you buckle up and join me on this ride as I'm sure it will have lots of twists, turns, and bumps along the way. Honestly, I can't wait!

Happy New Year,
